The Mental Hack That Could Change Your Body — Tonight

If you want to see the video version of this, check it out on my YouTube Channel Here.

What if one simple exercise could rip away your excuses and force you to finally change — starting today?

If you've been stuck in the cycle of “I'll start Monday,” this might be the mindset shift you’ve been waiting for.

It’s called the Dickens Method — and yes, it’s inspired by A Christmas Carol — but instead of scaring Scrooge into generosity, it might just scare you into lasting weight loss.

What Is the Dickens Method?

Tony Robbins adapted this tool straight from Charles Dickens’s classic story.

You know the drill: Scrooge gets haunted by the ghosts of his Past, Present, and Future — and what he sees terrifies him into changing overnight.

Robbins applies the same framework to help people face the pain of staying the same — and the joy of what’s possible when they finally change.

And when it comes to weight loss, that pain/pleasure contrast can unlock the momentum you’ve been missing.

Apply It to Weight Loss in 4 Steps

You can try this tonight. Grab a notebook or open a doc, and walk through these 4 simple — but powerful — prompts:

1. The Past
Ask yourself: What has staying overweight already cost me?
Energy? Confidence? Time with family? Missed opportunities? Let yourself feel it.

2. The Present
What is it costing you right now?
Low energy? Feeling uncomfortable in your body? Avoiding photos? Struggling to stay present with the people you love?

3. The Future
Now, project 5, 10, even 20 years forward. If nothing changes, where are you headed?
Think: chronic health issues, regret, shortened lifespan. Be honest. Be vivid.

4. Flip It
Now imagine the opposite: What if you finally committed to change?
Visualize your energy, your confidence, your strength, your joy. That future exists — if you decide to chase it.

Why This Works So Fast

Your brain is wired to avoid pain. And research shows that pain is often a more immediate motivator than pleasure.

The Dickens Method works by turning your current habits into something you can’t ignore anymore — while showing you that a better future is possible and within reach.

It creates urgency. Clarity. And momentum.

Your Next Step

Try it tonight. Seriously. Write out your answers to those 4 steps. You might be surprised at how fast your perspective shifts.

It’s free. It’s powerful. And it could be the exact moment you’ve been waiting for.

Most people think fat loss is about doing more.Tracking harder. Eating cleaner. Training longer. But after coaching so many busy professionals (and losing 127 lbs myself), I can tell you with certainty — the real shift happens when you stop trying to lose weight...and start becoming the person who does. The More You Force, The More You Resist You ever notice that the harder you try to lose weight, the more your body seems to fight back? You step on the scale, see no change, and feel this wave of frustration hit.So you tighten up — restrict harder, train more, track every gram — yet somehow… progress slows even more. This isn’t a willpower problem. It’s a physics problem. In reality, the more importance you attach to fat loss, the more resistance you create — both mentally and physically. In...
